826CHI

826 CHI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

While at 826, I volunteered as an after-school workshop tutor & Chicago Public Schools In-School Tutor. I was credited in Sunday Afternoon Hot Dog Meal: A guide to Chicago featuring shrimp from the future, a park shaped like a spot of paint, six-foot tall smelly sweaty men...and cabs that smell like fresh flowers.

SPARK

Spark’s mission is to provide life-changing apprenticeships to youth in underserved communities across the United States. My students (twin brothers) created a sandwich called The Munchie. Become a mentor! These kids need you.
